Joseph Conway Obituary

Frank Conway passed away peacefully at home on February 9, 2010 after a short battle with cancer. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sara; two of his three children: Sonja Conway of Lodi and Jeff Conway of Discovery Bay; his three grandsons: Casey, Kyle, and Chad; and his two great-grandchildren: Kylee and Kassidy; predeceased by his son, Joe Conway. Frank was the oldest of 11 children born to Frank and Minnie Conway, who migrated to California from Oklahoma in the 40's. After residing in Pacifica and South San Francisco, Frank and his wife, Sara, retired to their ranch in Petaluma in 1975. Frank loved Country music, John Wayne movies, and tinkering in his barns. He was a huge force in life and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 27th from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Petaluma Golf and Country Club.

Dear Sara, Sonja & Jeff:
My heart goes out to your family. The loss of Joe and now Frank. I have kept you in my prayers daily and will continue to do so. I pray for much strength, comfort and peace for you at this time. The thing I remember about Frank is his big booming voice....I mean when he spoke, I listened. When I first met him many, many years ago in my 20's at Deenie's, it scared me a little, but then I got to know him and realized he just wanted to come across that way but was a softie at heart.

With Christian Love,
