Judith Connors

Judith Connors, born in Brattleboro, Vermont, 1941, was the youngest of five siblings. In 1948, she traveled with her family to Vienna, Austria where her father, an army officer, was assigned duty.



Returning to the United States, they moved to San Francisco, her father having been stationed at the Presidio, Provost Marshal. Judy attended Star of the Sea Grammar School and later graduated from Star of the Sea High School Academy in 1959, where she was active in student government. She graduated from Francisco College for Women, Lone Mountain, with a major field of study in English with minors in Italian and Political Science.



In 1963, she married Edward Kavanaugh, moved to Petaluma, and raised three children: Geoffrey, Dominic, and Adrienne, all of Petaluma. Some of Judy's fondest memories were of her fifteen years teaching English at St. Vincent's High School in Petaluma. Later in life, she had a change of career and continued her education in the field of Alzheimer's & Dementia care, working 25 years in administrative positions, most recently as Program Coordinator for the PPSC Senior Day Program.



Retired in 2017, her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved family, whom she loved, respected, and for whom she was forever grateful.



She leaves seven grandchildren: Connor Kulasingam, John Kulasingam, Lauren Kulasingam, Max Kavanaugh and his wife, Nancy, Roxanne Kavanaugh, Cullen Kavanaugh, Lena Kavanaugh, daughters-in-law Kristi Kavanaugh and Coreene Kavanaugh, and son-in-law Robin Kulasingam.
