Kari Cameron Obituary
October 8, 1969 - January 8, 2025
We are extremely saddened to announce the sudden passing of Kari on January 8th, shortly after receiving news of a terminal cancer diagnosis. Her final days were spent in the loving care of her mom, Judy Barry Gellett, her brother, Mark Gellett, and her aunt, Holly Bruce-Molina with the support of Anchor Health hospice care. Our love and gratitude to all the family and friends that came by in her last days and brought comfort and care.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Gerry; her beloved daughter, Morgan; her stepchildren, Kyle (Christina, grandson Clayton) and Kayla; her mother, Judy and her siblings, Mark (Amy Beth), Sean Gellett and Sara Schuman (Scott). She is predeceased by her father, Jim Gellett and her brother, Les Crawford. She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Kari graduated from Piner High School in 1987 and continued her studies at Sacramento State. She was an accomplished bookkeeper and office manager. Sho loved spending time outdoors and collecting shells at the ocean was one of her favorite pastimes. She was a big fan of country music, especially Rascal Flatts. She was a lover and champion of animals and her dogs received the best care always. She was a fierce and loyal friend to which Amy Beth, Jen, Kourtney and Tonya can attest. But Kari's greatest joy was being a Mom to Morgan and she gave that her all. She watched with pride as Morgan progressed in her volleyball career and excel in her academic studies. I remember talking with Kari a while back and her helping me to get sober. She was so easy to talk to and was always so kind anytime I saw her. She was always there to support Morgan and cheer everyone on in any sport. She will be so missed

I am so saddened to hear of Kari's passing. We had the incredible pleasure of having Kari live with us for her senior year of high school.
She was so fun to be around. The last time I spoke with her was when she was working for SBI. We were going to touch base with each other and it never happened.
Kim saw the obituary and was crushed. It is sad how our lives get so busy we lose track of each other.
Rest in peace, Kari. Look for Bill and catch up. I will always remember and love you.

I met Kari when our daughters started kindergarten at St. Rose. Our girls became fast friends, so we became very close and enjoyed many adventures with our girls. Kari had the most amazing heart! She loved her family so much, especially her beloved Morgan. She will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Sweet Angel. Gerry and Morgan, we are here for you, always!!
