Kathryn STEWART Obituary

STEWART, Kathryn Jean Marcott Kathryn Jean Marcott Stewart lost her yearlong battle with cancer on June 6. She left this world with her daughter, Krystal, and sister, Vicki, by her side. She fought her battle with cancer the same way she lived her life, with a fierce tenacity that was familiar to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Kathy entered this world a fighter. She was born February 6th, 1953, two months premature, at Letterman Army Hospital in San Francisco, to parents, Marion and William Marcott. She grew up in the rolling hills of Santa Rosa, developing a love and fascination for horses at a very young age. Her love of horses persisted through her 20's and well into adulthood. She spent several years in La Honda and Foresthill, cultivating her hobby by rescuing and caring for several horses during her time there. Kathryn had many accomplishments in the equestrian show world and was the owner of Kat's Country Korner, in Auburn, a shop with a western flair. Kathy was ecstatic to be able to see her daughter give birth to her grandson before passing. Though her life was cut too short, her impact on this world is immeasurable and will leave ripples in her family and friends for years to come. Her mother, Marion Marcott, and her younger brother, William Marcott, preceded Kathy in death. She leaves behind her daughter, Krystal Reno; son-in-law, Jeremy Reno; grandson, Landon Reno; sister, Vicki Brown; brother-in-law, Glen Brown; father, William Marcott; two nieces, a nephew and many extended family and friends. In honor of her memory, flowers can be sent to Krystal, Jeremy, and Landon to be used at her memorial: 905 Labrador Way, Suisun City, Ca 94585 A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., June 20th 2015 at Alexander Valley Community Church, 6650 Highway 128 at Jimtown, Healdsburg, CA 95448.

I only just read about Kathy's passing & wish to give my condolences to her family. I met Kathy 2004 when she lived in La Honda. She introduced me to the horse community & we became a good friends. I know she has fought a long & hard battle... she will be missed

I am so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting Kathy in Santa Rosa in a phlebotomy class. We became study mates & friends. I enjoyed our talks on school, shared love of horses, CS Lewis (she gave me one of his books) & many other subjects. I would come up to Forestville for studies, dinner & glass wine. Although we didn't talk often at end, she was so often in my thoughts & prayers. She left a big impact on my life, she will always be missed.

Krystal and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. I have fond memories of her from high school. She and my sister Kathy, whom we also just lost to cancer, were friends along with Vicki and myself. She will be missed.

Krystal and Family, I was so sorry to hear about the loss of such a lovely lady. I was lucky to have the opportunity to work with Kathy, enjoyed our conversations, laughing with her and hearing about her love horse's and the outdoors. R.I.P Kathy, glad I was able to get to know you.
