Kerry Lynch Obituary
July 10, 1952 - June 18, 2024
Kerry (Wair) Lynch, age 71, passed away in Dana Point, CA on June 18th surrounded by family after a 2 1/2 year battle with Ovarian cancer. Kerry was born in San Francisco to Rodney and Noreen Wair and graduated from Presentation High School in 1970. After High School, Kerry won the Rose of Tralee "Miss Ireland" pageant and traveled to Ireland to represent San Francisco.
As a devoted single Mother of four, Kerry was determined to continue her education to support her family and went back to school to obtain her Nursing degree. After graduating from the Santa Rosa Junior College nursing program, Kerry provided loving care and support to patients at Memorial Hospital and Southwest Community Clinic.
Kerry is survived by her husband of 10 years, Michael Lynch, brother Rocky (Jane) Wair, and children Sarah (Matt) Keegan, Dan (Beth) Cuniberti, Leah (Zack) Metcalf and Hannah (Mike) Gorman, as well as 9 grandchildren who she adored and loved with all her heart.
In addition to her love for her family and caring for others, Kerry was passionate about health and fitness. She was an avid runner while raising her kids and even found time to train and run multiple marathons over the years. Later in life, Kerry continued to follow her passion for health and fitness and took up yoga, Pilates and long walks on the beach. Kerry will be remembered for her smile that lit up a room, her love for her family, and her amazing ability to make everyone feel at ease.
A private tribute will be held in late August for family & friends.

Kerry was my neighbor in San Francisco when she had her first 2 children. I was surprised to see Dennis here and shocked to find Kerry now! She was such a sweetie and I admired her so much. I was 10 & 11 at the time and so wished I´d grow up to be just like her. Magical thinking, I wanted to look like her too. Haha. Such a beauty inside and out and I´m just sorry I never got to see her again. I babysat a couple of times and I remember vividly, her adorable babies. Rest in eternal peace dear Kerry. You made this world a better place.
