It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Harryman of Santa Rosa on October 23, 2024, at the age of 100. Margaret was born in Colma, CA on June 21, 1924 to Ted and Amalia Thiel. Margaret was the eldest of three children - Evelyn Todd and Ted Thiel Jr. (deceased). Prior to her death her husband of more than 50 years was Charles R. (Bob) Harryman. She is survived by her sons Tom (Sue) of Benicia, CA and Ted (partner Helga Baker) of Belize, and her daughter-in-law Pam Harryman of Mt. Shasta, CA. She is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Son Robert Harryman and granddaughter Amalia (Molly) preceded her in death.
Margaret was known for her extensive volunteering, sewing and quilting skills, gardening, reading, and her love of travel. Margaret worked for the Key System Transit Authority in Oakland, Del Monte Corporation in San Francisco, a book publisher in Chicago, and in the County Clerks Office in Mendocino County in Ukiah.
A celebration of life followed with a luncheon, will be held at 11 a.m., November 30, 2024 for family and friends at 2213 Firwood Avenue, Santa Rosa. The family requests in lieu of flowers that you donate in her name to your favorite charitable organization.
