Mark Simbles Obituary

Mark Emory Simbles
It is with great sadness that we announce Mark's sudden passing at age 72. Mark was born in Oklahoma but within a few years, the family moved to California. Mark spent most of his early years in Santa Rosa where he developed many long lasting friendships. At an early age he developed a passion for surfing. After graduating from Montgomery High School he moved to Santa Cruz to attend college and surf (emphasis on the surfing). Eventually he would enter the construction trade. His construction jobs would cause him to move to Sacramento, San Francisco, and back to Santa Rosa.
He met his wife, Karen, on a blind date. From that day forward they shared 30 years of love, laughter and many adventures. Mark not only gained a wife but also his stepson, Tyler, whom he adored. Mark also obtained his Contractors license and formed Mark Simbles Construction.
For twenty six years he completed projects in Marin and Sonoma Counties. Besides surfing Mark developed a passion for golf which led Mark and Karen to take many wonderful golf vacations. They traveled to Hawaii, Mexico, Japan, Grand Cayman, British Columbia and various other locations. After retiring Mark and Karen moved to Palm Desert to enjoy warm winters and beautiful golf courses. Unfortunately Mark would only live there one year before he passed. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Jacque Simbles. He leaves behind his wife, Karen, his son Tyler Harris and wife Heather as well as his granddaughter Charlotte. His sisters Miriam Denning (Larry) and Susan Sudduth (Roger). His nieces Katy and Kerry and their families. He will be missed by numerous other relatives and many dear friends. Per Mark's request, there will be no services. He would prefer a donation be made to any favorite charity.
