Nubar Shahbazian Obituary

Nubar L. Shahbazian
November 23, 1937 - August 8, 2023
Nubar passed away of a sudden illness with his wife Sharon Ott at his side. Raised in the Bronx in an Armenian Italian household, he attended Pratt Institute where he received a degree in architecture. He was a practicing architect for over five decades – a career which took him around the world. He was a student of history and art, an avid reader and lifelong Yankees fan. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law Marc and Sarah Shahbazian and grandchildren, Hailey, Mia and Alden.
A private gathering will be held at a later date.

Nubar and I worked together at Bechtel Corporation for a couple of years, both in SoCal and at Bechtel's SF headquarters. He was my boss... and more than that he was my good friend. I came across this announcement by accident and was immediately saddened by the loss. We shared similar interests in art, music, architecture, and life. I will miss him. Condolences to his family.
