Patricia Mazzini

1932 - 2025

Patricia Mazzini, 92 years of age, of Glen Ellen, California died in Sonoma on October 11, 2025.
Pat was born in York, Nebraska on November 7, 1932 to Florence and Thomas Gallagher and grew up on a farm. She attended St. Joseph's School in York before studying Nursing at St. Mary's College of Nursing in San Francisco. She received her BS from the University of San Francisco in 1956. Pat worked as an Operating Room Nurse at St. Mary's upon graduation.
In 1957, Pat married Richard P. Mazzini and later moved to San Anselmo, California where they raised six children. Pat worked as a School Nurse at San Rafael High School and later at Rincon Valley School District in Santa Rosa. During this time she earned a MA in Counseling from Sonoma State University.
After retiring, Pat was active in the Glen Ellen Historical Society. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Richard P. Mazzini, daughter Susan Mazzini Lucchesi (Andy), daughter-in-law Sue Mazzini (Peter), and her sister Fran Gazdik. She is survived by her children, Kathryn Kerr (Bill), Richard A. Mazzini (Bridget), Peter T. Mazzini, Gregory V. Mazzini, and Elaine A. Mazzini; seven grandchildren, William A. Kerr (Maria), Caroline Brown (Parker), Daniel P. Kerr (Sheena), Andrea R. Appelmann (Joey), Anthony P. Mazzini, Joseph Mazzini and Silas Mazzini; four great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Falkirk Cultural Center, 1408 Mission Avenue at E Street, San Rafael from 3 p.m.-6 p.m.
