Rachel Leight Obituary

LEIGHT, Rachel Mae Of Berryville, VA and Petaluma, CA, passed away in Sacramento, CA on April 30, 2006 after a long illness. She was the daughter of loving parents, the late Jacob and Suzie Jenkins of Berryville, VA. She is survived by her seven children, Debbie Peacock and Shirley Fitzwater, both of Indiana, Rocky Leight of Petaluma, Stephanie Rossi of Antioch, CA, Tony Leight of Rohnert Park, CA, Rodney Leight of Petaluma, CA, and Lisa French of Petaluma, CA. She is also survived by sons-in-law, George Rossi, Ivory Peacock and Bill Fitzwater. Rachel had 13 grandchildren, Michael Rossi, Paul Rossi, Jason Rossi, Emily Peacock, Rachel Fitzwater, Rebecca Forster, Tarrah Egelhoff, Lyndsey Rossi, Christopher Rossi, James French, Sarah Leight, Amanda Scott, and Roy Scott; and 9 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by brothers Floyd and Mitchell Jenkins of Berryville, VA. She is survived by brothers and sister, Manuel Jenkins, Frank Jenkins, Marshall Jenkins and Shirley Young of Berryville, VA, and also brother and sisters-in-law Margaret Jenkins, Marie Jenkins, Sandy Jenkins, Jimmy Young of Berryville, VA, Verna McDonald and Nancy Barton of Winchester, VA. There will be a private memorial service for the family on May 6, 2006 at the home of George and Stephanie Rossi. The family request that donations be made in Rachel's name to either the American Lung Association or the Battered Mothers Resource Fund, in lieu of flowers.
