He was my great uncle. I miss spending Easter's and Christmas and listen to him tell stories about my family and all of the cool aspects of my family's history. I miss you Uncle Bob.

I just learned of Mr. Dodds passing. He will remain in my memory as the best history teacher ever. I was a junior at Piner in 1968 when I had him for US History. I remember his quirky humor and his incredible kindness. I'm sorry we did not meet in later years fishing upon some river. We could have shared tales. He will remain in my memory a 37 year old! Lovely obituary.

Mr. Dodds had a wonderful, wonderful way of making academic material entertaining. His death is a real loss.

I also was a student of Mr. Dodds at SRJC in 1970 in Social Science 10 class. It allowed me to fulfill the history requirement taking just the one class. It was very interesting but not an easy one to get through. I managed. It hit home to learn he was an avid fisherman...my condolences to his family.

My condolences to his family. I had Mr. Dodds as a professor at the JC three times! I very much enjoyed his wit and wisdom. He made history and political science interesting. The photo of him smiling is perfect! I will forever remember him.

Robert was a passionate and inspiring teacher and a good man. I had him for political science classes at the SRJC in the 1970´s and 80´s. He was one of the best teachers I ever had. I´m happy he had a long and enjoyable life. My love and support to his family and friends.
