Robert SCHULTZ Obituary

Passed away at home in Rohnert Park on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the age of 69. A native of Blackpool, England, he was a resident of Sonoma County for the past 33 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Betty Schultz; children Kenneth Schultz of Fairfield, Daniel Schultz of Cotati, Kimberly Schultz-Munson of Rohnert Park and step-daughter Holly Choy of Novato; brothers Ronald Schultz and Gary Schultz, both of Issaquah, WA; eight grand-children ~ Damon, Brittany, Serena, Jessica, Aaron, Jasper, Tianna and Hayden; daughters-in-law, son-in-law, sister-in-law and brothers-in-law; and aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. A graduate of Renton High School, he worked for 34 years as a meat cutter, both in Washington State and California. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served as a military policeman in Vietnam. From his coal miners heritage, Bobby was always a hard worker, honest, loyal and always stood by his beliefs. Seeing his best friend drown in an accident, and losing his best friend in Vietnam had an effect on him, making him very protective of those dear to him. His unconditional love for his family, love of nature, honesty and faith in God sustained him. He had a strong will and gave only kindness to others. Always respectful, he had a great sense of humor and ability to make you laugh. Wherever he went, he always chatted with checkers, servers or staff, just asking how they've been and hope all is well. It gives a person a good feeling and brightens their day. The family wishes to thank Sutter Medical Oncology Dept. and Sutter Hospice for all the kindness, concern and care. Friends are invited attend a Memorial Service on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA. In his memory, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Sonoma County Unit, 1451 Guerneville Road, Ste. 20, Santa Rosa, CA 95401.
