Setsuko SPEAKS

SPEAKS, Setsuko Born February 17, 1929 and passed away February 25, 2015. The world has truly and suddenly lost a precious soul with the passing of Setsuko Speaks on February 25, 2015. She left behind her loving husband Jerome, after 68 years of marriage and her very best friend and daughter Marie, her precious miniature Schnauzer Mica, her son-in-law Kenny, and her brother Masami. Setsuko is inexplicably missed, but her spirit makes us all stand up straighter, consider whoever crosses our path with love and compassion, and begs us to look deeper within and love ourselves. Setsuko was our rock, a beacon of inspiration, and a long-time member of the Santa Rosa Bible Church. She is now a monument of selflessness, of self-worth, and altruistic guidance. Setsuko Speaks was an incredibly gifted doll-maker, a seamstress whose exquisite designs could absolutely take the fashion world by storm, and a maker of tapestries that told such lucid stories in bold, but tasteful colors. She was an artists' "artist", meaning, an artist seeing her work just knows it's golden. It's solid, just as she was. Her daughter taught her how to properly travel. She never missed an opportunity to take a trip with her daughter. Last summer, the two of them took a magnificent trip back to her home country of Japan. Though her absence leaves us a bit weak in the knees we are soaring with her spirit, and will be 'til the end of our days. We love you, Mom, from Kenny and Marie. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on April 1st, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., at Santa Rosa Bible Church, 4575 Badger Rd., Santa Rosa.
