Sharon Moore Obituary

Sharon Lynn Moore
December 27, 1930 - December 21, 2021
Sharon Lynn Moore passed away peacefully on December 21, 2021, in Santa Rosa, California, at the age of 90. Born on December 27, 1930, in Lake City, Iowa to Elbert and LaVerne Hoffman, her family moved to Portland, Oregon where she was raised with her sister Ariadne Dennis. Sharon married John Haglund on April 15, 1950, and raised their two children, Vicki and Brian, in Astoria, Oregon.
Sharon moved to Santa Rosa in the late 1970s and worked at the Redwood Credit Union until 1997 when she retired. Upon her retirement, Sharon pursued her lifelong dream of traveling the world. She made many memorable journeys with her best friend, Margaret Burk.
Sharon was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She immensely adored her grandsons, Jake and Alex, and spent as much time as she could with them. She beamed with pride every time she spoke about them. Sharon enjoyed watching football, ice skating, and Jeopardy. She loved fresh seafood, jigsaw puzzles, and playing Rummikub and Bingo with her friends at Villa Capri. She will be remembered for her kindness, big smile, and joyous presence.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Vicki McConkey (Mark), her son, Brian Haglund (Daria), her two grandsons, Jacob and Alexander McConkey, her niece, Doreen Rodriguez (Jerry), her nephew, Craig Dennis (Sheryle). Sharon was preceded in death by her niece, Julie Blume (Rick). Sharon will be enormously missed by all who knew her.
The family is grateful to the staff at Villa Capri who took care of Sharon for the last few years of her life. There will be a celebration of her life in May. If you would like, please make a donation to the American Heart Association, or charity of your choice, in her honor.

Oh how I miss Sharon! i had the pleasure of doing her hair for many years. I always looked forward to her visits. She was always so positive and upbeat. She loved her family with everything she had. She would light up talking about her grandkids and her family.
