February 11, 1947 - November 29, 2022
Dr. Stephen (Steve) Conrad Jarvis, DDS, of Healdsburg, California passed away on November 29, 2022, at the age of 75. Steve was born on February 11, 1947, in Palo Alto, California to his father Donald Conrad Jarvis and mother Vivienne (Hansen) Jarvis. Steve graduated from Menlo-Atherton High School in 1964, enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17, received his undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon in 1969, where he was a member of the SAE fraternity and then earned his dentistry degree from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Steve owned and operated a general dentistry practice for 33 years, from 1976 - 2009, in Healdsburg, California, where he lived until 2021. Steve moved to Bend, Oregon in 2021 to be closer to his kids and grandchildren.
Steve was an avid sports fan, always supporting and cheering for the San Francisco Giants and 49ers, and of course the University of Oregon Ducks. Steve supported local Healdsburg sports, volunteering his time to coach baseball and football at Healdsburg High School as well as contributed to the development of Healdsburg Little League and baseball fields in Healdsburg.
Steve was survived by his two children, Thomas Jarvis (Portland, Oregon) and Kristen Jarvis Thompson (Bend, Oregon) and brother Dr. Tom Jarvis (Nipomo, California).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11th in Healdsburg.

Wow, I am so sad to read of Steve's passing. I used to babysit for Steve and his brother, Tom, way back in the 1950s. Steve and Tom were from a great family. I will drop Tom a note.

I met Steve in 1973 at Ft. Sill, OK..That started a life long friendship that last 50 years. We always kept in contact by phone and Christmas letters. He was a true friend, good man and will be missed. May he rest in peace! Tom Barrick, DDS

Steve, we met in the Fall of 1961, me a freshman, you a sophomore at Menlo Atherton H.S. Little did I know we would develop a friendship that would last for all these years, along with our "friendly" PAC 12 rivalry . You, always a rabid UO Ducks fan, me the 'Cats (UArizona, my son's alma mater) + the Cardinal (Stanford, of course) along with your rooting for my alma mater, the SJSU Spartans. Not to mention our mutual "fandom" for our SF 49ers, Warriors & Giants. I will miss meeting for coffee on occasion, our phone calls/emails/texts, along with sharing stories & pictures of our kids & grandkids over the years. I'd like to think you are soaring with angels now and reunited with some of your best Bracero '64 buds from M-A, particularly Sal, Gary, and Mel along with Gary's wife, our dear friend Nicki. Rest in peace Jarvo (aka S-Babes). I will continue to carry with me, fond memories of our lifelong friendship. Joanie
