Steve Werner Obituary

On Friday, March 13, 2009 Steve Werner peacefully passed from the cancer that caused him so much pain. Steve was born on September 20, 1970 in Honolulu, HI. He graduated from Casa Grande High School in Petaluma and lived in Rohnert Park for the last 25 years where he developed countless friendships. Steve was and is, a big sports fan and avid Frisbee golfer. The golfing community will miss him tremendously. He was especially thankful for all the people from the UFO's, The Arm Farm and The Basket Cases for all their moral and financial support during his most difficult battle. He was very thankful for the great people he worked with at North Bay Construction (Jeff). Steve loved the outdoors, kayaking, camping, and hiking, but mostly playing at the many great disc courses in the country, especially in Hawaii. Steve is survived by his brother, Ron (Wendy); his mother Sandy and so many friends and extended family it would take an entire newspaper edition to list. We all love you and will miss you tremendously. Steve lived and died his way and on his terms. We all know you are playing disc golf in a better place. 4.20 A Potluck Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 19th at the Petrified Forest near Calistoga, 4100 Petrified Forest Road at 4:00 p.m.
