William Blaney Obituary

BLANEY, William J. Died in Nevada City, CA on Monday, July 24, 2006. Loving husband for over 55 years of the late Lorraine M. Blaney. Loving father of Cheryl Jones and her husband Jim of Rohnert Park, Brad Blaney and his wife Denice of Nevada City, Tim Blaney and his wife Sue of Nevada City and Janice Franklin of Nevada City. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A native of Pittsburg, PA. Age 82. Bill attended Auburn University. He was a Combat Veteran of World War II, fighter pilot in the 15th Army Air Corps flying 50 combat missions over Italy. He lived in Santa Rosa for over 40 years and had worked as an insurance adjustor for over 25 years. Bill loved to read, play golf and his family was his life and he was truly loved. Friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 12:00 noon in the chapel at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Father Denis O'Sullivan, celebrating. Vigil Rites will be held on Thursday evening, July 27, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. at the Daniels Chapel of the Roses. Private family entombment, Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects after 4:00 p.m. Thursday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, PO Box 844, Santa Rosa, CA 95402.
