ADAM BLACK 11/19/1985 - 9/7/2018 A larger than life figure, father, husband, brother, uncle, son, grandson, and skater, Adam Black, 32, of Hesperia, CA, left this world on September 7, 2018. He was well known by the Riverside skate- boarding community for his friendly demeanor, generosity, positive energy, and willingness to do anything for those who he loved. Adam was born to Laura Wilson and Patrick Black in Corona, CA on November 19, 1985. He attended Norte Vista High School, and graduated in 2003. While growing up in Riverside, his true love and passion was skateboarding and getting tattoos with his friends. As a teenager, he became a blank canvas for his artistic friends that were learning the art of tattooing. Following high school he worked as a dialysis technician, and developed a number of strong bonds between the patients that he served, and their families. He married Sarah May Black on August 6, 2011 at Edwards Mansion in Redlands, CA. The couple had their first son Cole in May 2015, and second son Jay in October 2017. Adam was a devoted father and husband, and loved spending time with his family. In the summer of 2014, the doors of Black's Boardshop opened for business, and instantly became a hangout for local skate kids. Adam was constantly giving back to the skate community through friendship, mentorship, and guidance. Adam was preceded in death by his grandfather Gary Wilson, Uncle Ryan Black, and many great grandparents that he loved dearly. Adam is survived by his wife Sarah; sons Cole and Jay; sister Danielle; brother-in-law Alex; nieces and nephews, Xander, Nikos, Kalista, and Lexi; mother Laura; father Patrick; grandparents, Millie and Ed Wood, and a large number of friends and acquaintances. Funeral and burial services will be held on Saturday, September 29 @ 11am, SkyRose Chapel at Rose Hills, 3888 Workman Mill Rd., Whittier, CA 90601.
