Bernard Chase Obituary

BERNARD "BUD" EDSON CHASE Age 90, died on March 13, 2011 in Hemet CA. Bernard was born Feb 24,1921 in Geneva NY to Charles Edson and Rena Adell Canfield Chase. He served in the U.S. Army out of Ft. Dix, NJ. After WWII, he moved to CA, worked in plastics mfg, furthered his education, and spent the rest of his career in aerospace including Douglas Aircraft. He retired from Hughes Aircraft, after 27 years as Cost Estimator. Bud was a gifted artist and handyman. He loved his family, Dodgers baseball, reading to his 3 generations of kids, good food, new cars, picnics, fishing and helping others. He raised his family in Gardena CA, moved to Sun City, CA in 1995, and was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Norma Hoff Chase, in 2005. Bernard is survived by his daughter, Susan Margaret Chase Emory, sister Alpha Louise Chase Rath, brother Kenneth Leslie Chase, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces/nephews. We loved him deeply, as he loved us. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors on Monday, April 11,10:45 am, at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside CA.
