Betty Kiech Obituary

BETTY ELLEN KIECH (BERG) passed away November 3, 2016 at the age of 91, at Sunrise Senior Living in Riverside, California. She was born January 24, 1925 in Manketo, Minnesota, and when she was a young girl the family moved to California. She graduated from Riverside Poly High School in 1942. She worked at Helguson Buick Citizens Bank and Riverside Unified School District where she retired after 30 years. She ended her career as Principal's secretary at Sierra Middle School. She married the love of her life Harold (Hal) Kiech at the Mission Inn in 1947. They were married for 60 years when he passed away. During her life she was a long time member of First United Methodist Church and involved in Bible study. She was a P.E.O. sister in Chapter J for 60 years, a member of the Bridge Club and in the Get Together Group from high school since 1942. She was a woman of quiet strength with a very loving heart for her family and friends. She is survived by her sons Dave (Carol), Don (Mary) and daughter Trish as well as 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a niece and 2 nephews. There will be a Service at First United Methodist Church, 4845 Brockton Ave., on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Graveside Service at 12:30 PM at Olivewood Cemetery and a reception back at the church at 1:30 PM. A special thank you to (Aunt) Viola and her staff at Sunrise for their love and care of Betty for the past 5 years. I just heard from Willie about your mom's passing. I'm very sorry for your loss. Your mom was a special lady who was always very kind to me. I remember being so impressed that she worked at Sierra.
