Betty Metcalf Obituary

BETTY METCALF Betty Metcalf passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2008 in Sun City, California at the age of 85. She was born on February 26, 1923 in England to the late Harry and Mabel Orsman. Betty survived the bombing of London and saw the ships returning to the English Coast with the British Expeditionary Force from Dunkirk. She also lived in Australia for a time in her life. Betty was a volunteer of Hospice of the Valley here in Sun City for 15 years. She loved collecting teddy bears, new and old, cleaned and donated them to local fire and police departments for them to hand out to children. Betty was a member of the Sun City Woman's Golf Club. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Cornelius "Bud" Metcalf of Sun City. Two sons, Don Knight of Melbourne, Australia and Corky Reinhart of Mooers Fork, New York. Two daughters, Camile Adas of Reno, Nevada and Karen Orzalli of Grass Valley, California. Several grandkids. A memorial service will be on Friday, April 18, 2008 at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Sun City at 3:00pm. Internment will be private at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to be made in Betty's name to Hospice of the Valley in Sun City. ON-LINE CONDOLENCES www.miller-jones.com (951) 672-0777
