Bruce Jacobsmeyer Obituary

JACOBSMEYER, BRUCE W. Age 56, he went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2006, at USC University Hospital in Los Angeles, of liver disease. Bruce was born in Riverside on April 23, 1950 to Stanley and Alice Jacobsmeyer. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1968 and received a BS degree in Biology from Utah State University, Logan in 1974. He spent the last 13 years working as a self-employed handyman in Riverside. Bruce enjoyed spending time at Williams Lake in Salmon, Idaho, where he was content to fish all day with his children and grandchildren. He joined Harvest Christian Fellowship 2 years ago and enjoyed the weekly bible studies. Bruce is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Patty; his son, Jeff; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Genesis, and Rebekah; his brothers, Fred (Salmon, ID), Jim (Glendale, AZ), and Donald (Banner, KY). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his wife's family. We will miss his smile, his laughter, his eagerness to help others, and especially his love. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Betty Ford Center, Financial Assistance Program. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 on Thurs., Sept. 14, 2006 at Harvest Christian Fellowship, 6115 Arlington Ave. Preston and Simons Mortuary Directors (951) 683-7410

It's very sad to hear about an old friend this way. While I hadn't seen Bruce in many years, being part of that small class at Notre Dame HS in 68; I believe that we all felt each other to be life long friends. He will in my prayers.

Bruce helped me when I first moved in to my new home. I enjoyed talking to him. I am so sorry to hear about his death. His family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I will never forget Bruce coming into my hospital room with his head set back in 1990. I told the nurses he was my first husband and when my real huband showed up they were really confused. I'll never forget his smile and laugh. I will keep your family in my prayers. Until we meet again Bruce - Aloha.
