Charles Young Obituary

YOUNG, CHARLES L. In Loving Memory Husband, Father, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa. Charles was born October 13, 1919 in Indianapolis to Charles A. and Luetta Young and passed away April 20, 2005. A long time resident of Riverside, California, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, June, and their nine beloved children, Terry, Steven, Mickey, Sharon, Cindy, Mark, Jeffrey, Melissa and Jennifer. He is also survived by their treasured 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He served proudly and honorably in a surgical hospital in WWII. After his military service, Charles continued as a master welder at Adams Iron Works in Redondo Beach. Today, his beautiful ornamental wrought iron works continues to be enjoyed. Charles will always be remembered for his wit, charm, and strong will. Visitation will be on April 26, 4-8pm at Arlington Mortuary. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at The Grove church at 10am followed by interment at the Riverside National Cemetery.

To my whole Family, I pray that God will give us the strength to get thru this. Losing our Daddy was the most painful turn in our lives, God promised us he would never give us a mountain we could not climb, I don't know about you, but, I'm having trouble getting up this mountain. We were so blessed to be the children of Charles & June Young,I love them for the value's they instilled in us. Our Daddy's watching over us now & making sure we take care of Mom, as we promised. When I look at each one of the Children, I see a part of Daddy in each one. I will continue to look up into the sky each nite & blow my Daddy a kiss, & say goodnight to him, I see the twinkle in a star & I just know that my Daddy is winking at his beloved family he left behind. I love all my Brothers & Sisters & wish them peace in their hearts. We are Blessed.

hi daddy, it has been a month since you have been gone and i miss you so much, i think about you all the time.i have your picture as my screen saver just so i can feel close to you,life seems so diffrent now and so empty, i know mom and everyone misses you,you were a wonderful dad, fathers day will be coming up here in the next couple of weeks and i planned on going to the cementary and visiting you.i'am just having a hard time excepting that you are gone.i want to talk to you and hear your voice, i want to see your smile and hear your laugh, i want to hear your silly jokes, but most of all i just want to hear you say i will be alright babe.well daddy i guess we just have to take it one day at a time. and in time we will heal, but in the meantime i greeve for you , ilove you very much and you are the daddy in the world. your baby daughter always and forever jennifer

well daddy you have been gone a month on friday.

nothing seems the same.

the other night i thought i saw you in my room.

mom thought she saw you to.

we call out come home daddy.

we miss you. a gentle breeze blew by and some how i know you came by

dad i wish you were here.

my life is so empty without you.

last night mom cry so long and call out your name.

we talk about you for hours and laught about some of the dumb jokes you told we think about the good times we had and the places we talk about going this summer but now your not here to enjoy those things and without you we can't seem to enjoy them either.

you know the song time in a bottle i wish time would stand still and you never left us.

daddy i love you.

this will be the 1st father's day without you. we are planning on visting you and leaving roses by your side.

dad i will see you in heaven you are my poppy and my best friend.

steve miss you like crazy.

yesterday he said i have a hard time coming home from work i drive up the street look for pop to wave at me and ask me how was work.

zack comes over ever night and sits with grammy, he told her the other night look and grandpa's grandfather he was so proud of that clock. i think it stop the day you god called you home.

dad your dogs are even missing you so much. what affect you have on us. we love you daddy always in out thoughts but forever in our hearts.

daddy.

i'ts been 12 days today you left us.

your funeral was so beautiful.

you would have been so proud but something tells be you were there comforting us.

next week is mom's day.

i was sitting here thinking about last year when you and mom and mark and steve and zack and i were all together on mother's day.

we went to a beautiful casino and tour the place we took pictures of old cars and windmills the ponds and fish and flowers had a great lunch. the sun was hot and you were having a blast.

daddy that's was the best mom's day i had thank you for that.
