Dear Linda, Ed, Amy and Carley,

Please accept our deepest sympathy on losing both of your parents in such a short time. Once again we share your sadness in losing sucha dear neighbor and friend. Dan was the perfect next door neighbor. Leaving your mom an dad was the most difficult part of our moving back to Corona 10 years ago. Dad truly was the surrogate grandfather for our boys, Eric and Andrew. I shall never forget your father's response when I asked him if her would object to my installing a basketball hoop in our front yard near the property line. I explained that I was worried that the ball would keep going over the wall into your parents yard. Dan replied that he would love to have the hoop installed there, so he could throw the ball back and play with the boys. Dad was the gentle giant who was kind and compassionate to everyone he met. He had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful role model for our boys. I know that he is now happy togther with Wanda and his family members, free from the physical afflictions that he patiently endured for so many years. May he enjoy his eternal reward for being such a good and faithful servant.
