Don Rutten Obituary

RUTTEN, DON J. Age 79, of Banning, CA., passed away 03/19/2006 at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital, Banning. He formerly lived in Devils Lake, ND., San Bernardino, CA. and West Covina, CA. Don was born in Devils Lake, North Dakota. He retired from the Southern California Gas Company after 38 years of service. He served in U.S. Navy Medic with Marines 3rd Class. He received his AA Degree from San Bernardino Valley College and was an active member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. Don is survived by his wife, Rosalie Rutten, Banning, CA; daughter, Paula Rutten, Upland, CA; 2 sons, Tim Rutten, Monrovia, CA., Tom Rutten, Elk Grove, CA; brother, Richard Rutten, San Bernardino, CA; 6 grandchildren. Mass on 03/22, 10am at Precious Blood Catholic Church with inurnment following mass at Riverside National Cemetery, staging area #6 at 1:31pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Precious Blood Catholic School of Banning, (951) 849-2433. (951)849-4527

I was very sad to read of Don's death. I was a member of the 1995-96 Riverside County Grand Jury when Don was Chairman, and I have memories of a very special Grand Jury...One who accomplished a great deal!! My sympathy goes to the entire family.
