My Uncle Donnie was always fun to be around. I loved his laugh and listening to him sing. Once he came to Florida with my dad, (David Alan) and visited St Augustine. I remember he sang a song to a friend from Egypt on video chat and he listened to my friend sing a song in Arabic. That is a cool memory. I also remember when I was around 12 or so, he let me borrow a book on Man O' War, the famous race horse and I think I let him read one of my horse racing books. I loved going to the races once with my family and him. I am very happy to have had an awesome Uncle and I know my Dad really admired his brother also. ❤ We all loved him and now miss him.

My Dad was a man whom Loved all his family, and being surrounded by his 6 children when growing up, weekend gatherings with his brothers and their families @ Muntz Lake, parks, beach with barbecues.
He taught all his 6 children good work ethics, most of all a Love that was unconditional. He loved singing
Did so singing to the Lord his last days on earth. I will see you on the other side Dad. You were the best dad in all the world.

My Uncle Donny was a Christian, hard working, loving and caring man. He loved his big family and was proud of them all.
I have such fond memories of him. When I was in High School spending the night with my cousin Pam, Uncle Donny would be up early, looking so handsome and tan sitting on his porch putting on his work boots. He bought a toboggan and took me and Pam up in the mountains to try it out in the snow...such fun. He had the deepest voice of all of his brothers and he had a nickname for almost everyone.
I will always be grateful that he stopped by in southeast Texas to see me and Jim on his way home to California after visiting family in Alabama. It meant the world to me. He had a huge collection of Elvis music to listen to on his road trip and of course he shared pictures of his beautiful family.
Uncle Donny will be missed so much on earth but what a great gift to know we will be reunited with him again. I love you Uncle Donny...until we meet again. ❤

We all can fill these pages with our memories of a loving wonderful old fashioned hardworking Dad, his deep voice telling us stories and his smile and laugh. He leaves a truly strong Christian family that I am blessed to be a part of today. If your reading this, honor him by living our lives with this verse in mind as a way to keep his legacy going in his/our children, grand children, great grand children.... 1 Peter 4.10: Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. We will continue to honor your memory with doing good for others. See ya

I miss my dad already ! He was the kind of dad that worked hard for his family. He made everything fun and he wanted us all by his side. So many memories of fun times with relatives and grandma's and grandpa's. We were all taught to swim at early ages so the beach and lakes were our favorites. We were always together as our families grew. Church was important to my dad so loving Jesus was important. I'm his older years I loved going to dad's and just talking. His IQ was very high so they had him doing the Morris code in the army. He was proud of that and the many masonry buildings throughout California. We sang together all his favorite songs when he was no longer active. In his early years he drove big rig trucks. He was very young but so good that he was on driver education films. He was a wonderful father. It won't be long until I see dad, mom, Stan, and Pam. All our loved ones that went before.
Love you Dad

I would say I'm lucky to have such an amazing loving family but my dad tells me it's not luck , I'm blessed. We are all so blessed to have Grandpa set such a great example for all of us, so hard working, determined and of course having to have God in his heart. I know my dad Ron ( I love you daddy) has said that he has learned everything he knows from his dad ( Grandpa Don) and I can say I have learned the same from my dad to be such a hard worker and the best at what I do. These are the values Grandpa passed down to my dad, to me and now to my children. What great legacy to be Shoffeitt. We love and miss you every day Grandpa, until we meet again save us a spot in Heaven and keep an eye on all of us until we get there. XOXO

I had the opportunity to play a song for my Dad before he passed away several times (All those dreams) by Neil Young. It was about the old clock has stopped ticking no longer counting every second. Guess what there is no clock in Heavean counting every second. Luv you Dad!!!
