Edward Coughlin Obituary
Edward "Ed" Dennis Coughlin Sr. passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at the age of 87 years.
Ed was born and raised in Jamaica before migrating to the U.S. and becoming a naturalized citizen. He was a U.S Air Force veteran. He spent his early career as a computer operator before retiring and pursuing his passion as a Thoroughbred horse owner, breeder and trainer. He was a great man, a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all. He epitomized the Will Roger's quote "A stranger is just a friend I haven't met yet."
He is survived by his 3 sons, Edward "Denny" Jr., Kenneth and John and daughter Laurie Hendrix. He will also be remembered fondly by his several grandchildren, great grandchildren, by his 2 brothers John and Don, and sister Mary Christophersen. Ed was predeceased by his wife Nancy, his daughter Barbara and sister Eileen Mulhall.
A Viewing will be held at Evans-Brown Mortuary- Sun City on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm; A Graveside Service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery at 11:00am on Thursday, January 25, 2018. EVANS BROWN MORTUARY (951) 679-1114

I will always fondly remember Mr. Coughlin. A friend of ours lived in the same neighborhood as Mr. Coughlin. We were there visiting and my 4 year old son was struck by a car. Mr Coughlin came running, called an ambulance and stayed with me and my child until help arrived. He was so very very kind. And....my son is still alive today, luckily we have our happy ending. God speed kind sir.
