Joseph Labonville Obituary

Joseph A.G. Labonville
1/8/1926 - 7/14/2017
Joseph "Joe" passed peacefully at the age of 91 at his daughter's home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Nashua, New Hampshire but lived most of his adult life in San Diego and Sun City. For nearly 40 years, he taught English and French at San Diego community colleges. He was a life-long learner, a lover of books, and a kind and humorous man who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sweetheart (Rose), his children (Marie, Mariette, Gerry, and Mariam), his step-children (Kay, Joy, and Paul), their spouses, two in-laws (Robert and Stella), 13 grandchildren and step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. His private interments in San Diego and Sun City will be held in early September, followed by a Celebration of Life reception (for more information email [email protected]).

Mr. Labonville taught French at San Diego Mesa College with my Mother from France Libera and was always helpful to my personal cause. I remember him very well as an intellectual and learned man. He was always so kind to our Family in San Diego.
