December 18, 1961 - March 11, 2021 Joseph Warren Nelson, 59, a beloved husband, loyal son and brother, and friend to all, passed away on March 11, 2021. The son of Harry and Dorothy Nelson, Joe grew up in Riverside and spent much of his life there and in the desert. He worked in the hospitality industry for many years, including many fine restaurants and hotels. We will remember Joe for his smile, joyful energy and generosity of spirit; he truly never met a stranger. He is survived by his beloved wife Vanessa, his brothers Gus and Billy, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and countless friends and loved ones, all of whom will miss him. A memorial service for Joe will be held on April 2, 2021, at Rose Mortuary, 71555 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, CA, at 10 a.m. In view of current restrictions on in-person gatherings, virtual attendance is encouraged.
