Joy Reardon Obituary

REARDON, JOY Passed away peacefully in her sleep in Murrieta, CA. on April 16, 2007, she was 80 years old. Joy is predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Reardon of 60 years, and two brothers Jerry and Jim Murphy. She is survived by her two daughters Joan Blanda (Jim) of Temecula, CA. and Colleen Dickinson (Toby) of Benton, CA. Joy leaves behind six grandchildren: Bob Blanda (Jill), Joe Blanda, Tina Berg (Lawrence), Jill Ellis (Jim), Thomas Batchelder (Clancy), Tim Batchelder (Jolene); and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Bonnie Going, and numerous nieces and nephews. Joy enjoyed the beach, mountains, water skiing and camping. Later traveling the United States with our dad. They loved taking trips with family and friends in their motor homes, and fishing trips on Lake Powell. They had lived 18 years in Lake Havasu City, AZ. before our dads passing in 2002, enjoying their retirement. Her hobbies were decorating, sewing, ceramics, making dolls and costumes. She was a wonderful homemaker and especially loved the Christmas season with so much joy spent with family and friends. Joy was blessed with her much adorned grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love of family has been one of her greatest gifts. Joy joins our dad as they rest in eternal peace along side each other. We will miss you mom and you will always be loved and forever in our hearts. We will be together again someday. A private funeral was held April 21, 2007 at Forest Lawn in Covina Hills, CA. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
