I never met Julia in person. I provided support for her through phone and email, helping her understand and deal with her Myasthenia Gravis. If you would like to donate in her memory to support finding a cure for this rare disorder (which I also have, BTW), check out: https://raisedonors.com/myasthenia/donatenow .
I will never forget Julia, especially her compassion, inquisitiveness and understanding when we discussed our mutual difficulties in dealing with this disorder. I can only imagine what an incredible person she would have been to meet.

Julia led the women´s ministries at Crossroads Christian Church when I was there. I will always remember her as a thought provoking teacher who helped grow my faith. I don´t know that I have had another leader like her. She is part of my faith history and I have specific memories of a retreat she led.

I didn't know that Julia passed away. I met her, 2005 when she was leading women's Bible study at FPC in Salinas, CA. Julia was a very powerful influence to my Christian faith and I cherish her testimony, "Do you know Him?"
I will always remember her as someone who made me want to be an impactful Christian woman with a testimony that moved people to want to know Him, because she knew Him through trials and her faith walked through fires. I too have a testimony now that has walked through fires. Julia inspired me to be a strong, courageous woman in Christ, I will never forget her and I look forward to seeing you again Julia safely where there is no more pain and no more tears.

I met Julia in 1962 at Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln Illinois. Julia was extremely intelligent, kind, witty and a dear friend. I visited her twice when she lived in California. I didn't know she had been ill until Rhonda, her daughter, called to give me the sad news. She is missed by her children and many friends.
