Lloyd Swann Memoriam

LLOYD SWANN We remember well the long years of laughter and love; the joys of travel and thirst for new experiences. But most of all we remember: "hum a few bars and I'll fake it!" Lloyd Victor Swann was born in Pueblo CO on June 13th 1922, served over-seas during World War II, performed live and on radio, worked for Wonder Bread for 31 years and fathered four sons with Maurine Baker. Lloyd left the stage for good two years ago today in Hemet, but the memories of his music live on today in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.

Lloyd had a smile that could warm the coldest heart. He was a very talented musician with a very friendly personality.
I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't like him or enjoy his piano playing.
I am proud to say:
HE WAS MY FAVORITE COUSIN.

He always used to tell me "It's five o'clock somewhere" and that is why he had a drink in his hand almost always :). I also loved when he would sit down at the piano at my home in Lakewood and just play whatever he wanted with no sheet music. Almost every summer Aunt Maybelle and Uncle Lloyd would come to CO and park the RV in Golden and let Matt and I spend the night. The kitchen table turned into the bed I always used and brother spent the night above the front in the bed above the captains chairs. We had a lot of really great times with Lloyd and Maybelle in the RV.
