Max A. Ecker

DECKER, MAX A. East Wenatchee In loving memory of Max A. Decker, who passed away of natural causes on January 29, 2005. Max was born on January 20, 1926, in Hildreth, NB and moved as a young boy to Riverside, CA. He was in the Navy during WWII and served as part of the Naval Transfer Service for the Pacific in Honolulu. Max met his wife, Carolyn, at Riverside JC, and they were married in 1949. Max graduated from the University of Redlands in 1950, and began his career of 35 years with the Sears Roebuck Company. During his career, Max moved with his family to several locations in the Western United States until 1980, when he settled in East Wenatchee. Max loved to read, golf, travel, and listen to gospel music. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Cathie Duersch of Clovis, CA and Connie Som of North Bend, WA; son, Mark Decker of Milwaukie, OR. A Memorial Service will be held on February 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Wenatchee. Memorials may be made in his name to the American Lung Association of Wenatchee.
