RICHARD ROBERT BEEUWSAERT

Richard Robert Beeuwsaert passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018, in Temecula, California; he was born on January 24, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Cyriel and Bertha Beeuwsaert. Richard served his country in the U.S. Navy. Richard graduated from the University of Detroit with a B.A. degree in accounting. He worked for Rockwell International as an accounting manager for 30 years. Richard and Grace, who were married for 36 years, had nine children: Mike, Steve, Doug, Matt, Karen, Linda, Cathy, Laura, and Peggy. Richard was dedicated to his family. He was also a devoted Catholic. He took his family to church every Sunday to the early mass and then took them to get doughnuts. Dick enjoyed playing with his kids whether it be sports like basketball, football and baseball, or chasing them at the parks. During all those times he became a kid himself, his playful side was allowed free reign. In his retirement years, he enjoyed volunteering, musical theater, and traveling to Europe, Branson, MO, Las Vegas, and Solvang. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Alma, his children and their families. Richard also had a stepdaughter Linda; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two brothers and three sisters. There will be a visitation on Sunday, February 18, 2018, from 5-8 PM at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Murrieta. A funeral service will be on Monday, February 19, 2018, at 1:30 PM at the Old Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside, CA, with interment to follow at the Mission Cemetery
