Mr. Michalka was one of my favorite teachers. I loved his honesty, and that he would talk about life with us. He was always considerate. I had him for freshman biology and then my senior year I was a TA for two of his classes. He taught me how to use Excel because he used it for his gradebook. He used to take his TAs out to lunch at Rising Savor.
He was a good soul, and I'm thankful to have been one of the lives he touched.

I knew Bob as "EKG Bob" at Riverside Community Hospital. I was the Shift Coordinator in MIC during Bob's 10 yrs at the hospital. He was professional, knowledgeable, and great to work with. I was sorry to hear he passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

As a fellow coach, Key Club adviser, and teacher, it was always great talking to Bob through the many years we would run into one another, whether at a Kiwanis or Key Club community service event, cross country or track & field meet, or even just as teachers. He had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed.

Bob was one of the first teachers I met at North. He was so funny and so kind. I enjoyed seeing him on and off campus at various functions and gatherings. When he retired, I was genuinely sad to see him go, but I was happy to see him during the holidays. My heart is truly saddened by his passing. My deepest condolences to Donna and the rest of the family. Many thoughts and prayers... May God's strength and peace keep you during this very difficult time.

To Bob,
I still remember our surfing trips together and that last fling camping trip to Yosemite before you left for the Air Force in '67. We only saw each other briefly a few times in the past 50 years and you were always warm and welcoming as though the years had never passed. I read the comments left by your many friends and contemporaries, you lived your life well. I'm so sorry that we have all lost you. My condolences to Donna and your entire family. May you RIP old friend.

I was so saddened to hear about my friend's passing. Bob was one of the few people in my life that I was able to call my best friend. Although the years and our lives had made us drift apart, he was always my best friend. We shared many moments of fun and challenges together an he was instrumental in keeping me sane. Bob I love you and will miss you deeply. Donna you were the joy of his life and I love you for what you gave to him.

Michalka Family my deepest sympathy for the loss of another brother. Bruce and Dean were very close to me and shared a remarkable friendship. Though I wasn't close to Bob as the other brothers, he was still a big part of the family. May you find comfort in knowing you have some remarkable brothers!

Mr. Michalka was one of my favorite teachers. I took extra science classes in high school just so I could keep having him as a teacher.
My daughter Haley won Little Miss Firecracker on the 4th of July a couple years ago at the Evergreen Cemetery. It was his wife that was setting up a savings bond for Haley that she had won. He had to stop by the bank for a minute and I remember being so excited that he remembered who I was all those years later.
Amazing man, wonderful teacher.

Very sad to hear the news about Bob. He was a great guy. I remember him from Ramona High School, and we also worked together at the Press-Enterprise back in the day. In the past few years we would see each other at UCR basketball games while cheering on the men's and women's teams. He will truly be missed. Our prayers and condolences to Donna and the rest of the family.

Mr. Michalka touched the lives of his students in way very few teachers do. He will forever live in our hearts. His kindness, sense of humor, and smile will never be forgotten.
Love,
Stephanie
