We had fun as teenagers in Castro Valley with Kelly and Wesley.
As we live, grow, and learn, many times we become separated from the friends and loved ones we grew up with.
But throughout life there are many opportunities to remember our friends and the good times we shared.

I have too many memories of Scott to list them all, but here are the ones that are foremost in my mind.
I remember:
…catching frogs & snakes with Scott at the creek behind his house in Livermore.
...him kicking my butt at ping pong at the retirement park where our grandparents lived in Santa Cruz.
…several trips to the cabin with our families, fishing and having fun on Pinecrest Lake.
…a trip to Yosemite when Scott & I rented bicycles and quickly got lost in the valley and had a blast spending the entire day getting found.
…countless bike rides, playing video games, the rope swing in Castro Valley, playing guitar together and watching our TV favorites like Bennie Hill, Looney Toones and The Three Stooges. Scaring ourselves watching Creature Features was always fun.
…going to school with Scott at Shady Grove, the trips to the school property in Aiwanee and a class ski trip or two.
…running out of gas at about 1:00a.m. on our way to the mountains with Scott and my cousin Wesley, hitch hiking to Oakdale and waiting until 7:00a.m. for the Arco station to open.
…running out of gas just outside of Fortuna on our way to drop Scott off at College of the Redwoods in Eureka with our friend Lance, walking to Fortuna and waiting until 7:00 am for the Arco station to open…I guess we learned that wishful thinking won't get you that last six miles. I remember leaving him at the college, a place he had never been and where there were no familiar faces. It was very difficult for us to drive away.
…cutting firewood with Scott & Lance during a visit he made to Albion where I was living. We reminisced about many things, including some mentioned here.
Things like running out of gas were never fun but all of these memories have always been priceless to me. I like to think they were for Scott too. I'll miss him until I see him again.

Scott is finally at peace. We are going to miss his funny accents and zany impersonations and his fervor for the Giants, 49ers and Warriors. In honor of Scotts' memory we will NOT villify Barry Bonds at anytime THIS baseball season.
We hope he knew how much we loved him!
