Shirley Willard Obituary

SHIRLEY JEAN (IRVINE) WILLARD Age 87, Shirley passed away at home amongst her loving family on Sunday October 17, 2010. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 24, 1923. She moved with her family to Whitmore Lake, MI in 1936, where she eventually met the love of her life, Bob Willard. They were married on July 16, 1942. Shirley and Bob moved to Sun City, CA in 1994. She was a member of Sun City Post VFW Auxiliary #1956. Shirley\'s favorite things to do in life were doting over her husband and all family members, telling stories of her growing up and cooking the traditional Scottish dishes, attaching a story to each family recipe. Shirley will be missed by her loving husband of 68 years, Robert N. Willard, her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen & Dean, Diane & Ric, and her son and daughter-in-law, Bob & Astrid; her 7 grandchildren and their spouses, John & Cheryl, Dan & Danielle, Teanna, Katrina, Dalyn, Loren and Amanda. Shirley loved being Great-Grandma to Aubrey, Jackson, Scarlett, & Connor. Services will be held on Sunday 10/24 at 1:00 p.m. at Evans Brown Chapel at 27010 Encanto Drive, Sun City, CA 92585. In lieu of flowers, donations to Care Alternatives Hospice, 7344 Magnolia Ave., Ste. #245, Riverside, CA 92504 - 951-353-8006, in Shirley Willard\'s memory would be appreciated.
