Timothy Staudenmaier Obituary

Lieutenant
TIMOTHY J. STAUDENMAIER
(Retired)

Lieutenant Timothy J. Staudenmaier (retired) of Corona passed away on Jan. 8, 2018 after a long hospital stay, though his passing was quite unexpected. Born Oct. 30, 1948 in Chicago, Ill., Tim was predeceased by his mother Francis Fox and adopted father Paul Staudenmaier. Tim married Carol June Staudenmaier (nee Stevens) in 1972 near their home in Coronado, CA. Loving husband and stepfather to Carol's three sons, Michael, Tony and Matt, Tim also leaves behind three brothers, their wives and many nieces and nephews. Tim served in the U.S. Navy for 14 years, joining as an Enlisted Sailor and becoming an Officer before a service-related injury forced him to retire early. He was a Naval Special Ops Seal and later a UDT instructor on San Clemente Island. He served in Vietnam in addition to several military missions abroad.
Tim will be buried with his wife Carol's ashes (she passed in 2015) in a full military funeral at Riverside National Cemetery on Feb. 2nd at 11:45 a.m.

Thinking of Tim & Brother Paul today and happened upon this site. Kind of late here, but never late to comment on a loving brother who is still missed to this day and beyond. My heart is heavy as I truly miss my two younger brothers! I was so proud of Tim's accomplishments in life. My younger brother Daniel and I want to say that Tim, Carol and Paul
are always in our thoughts. WE MISS YOU GUYS!!!!!

So sorry to just hear about Tim's passing. We both taught as substitute teachers in Juvenile Hall, Orange County. Tim guided me through my early days there and we taught, filling in for teachers who were out for a day, a week or more. He was loved by the teens he taught and they referred to him as Santa Claus. He was fun to share lunch with almost every day for the ten years I taught there. Occasionally, after we retired, he'd ask me to drive him or Carol to a medical appointment. I just lost another friend!

Tim's passing is very sad for both our families. He will be woefully missed. It is fitting that Tim and my sister Carol will rest together "Forever" as they lived their lives. They were a very close couple throughout their 43 years of marriage! My condolences to the Staudenmaier brothers, their families and Carol's three sons.
