TREVOR LANTZ

SGT. TREVOR LANTZ Age 25, passed away on July 9, 2012 in New York. He was born in Riverside, CA. Sgt. Trevor L. Lantz was a Field Artillery Forward Observer assigned to the 1st Squadron 89th Calvary 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York. His commitment to the Army began on January 2, 2008 and he graduated Basic Training at Ford Banning, Georgia on March 27, 2008. He served valiantly during one deployment to Iraq from 2009-2010. Trevor attained the rank of Sergeant on his 25th birthday, August 1, 2011. During his enlistment, Trevor was selected to attend and assist with military honors bestowed upon the last surviving U.S. Veteran of World War I at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. on March 15, 2011. His accomplishments, numerous awards, and dedication to his military career made him an excellent soldier, leader, and friend to many. Trevor will forever be remembered as our beloved son, brother and hero. Sgt. Trevor was survived by his father Greg Lantz of Norco, CA; mother Dee Higuera of Menifee, CA; stepfather Don Higuera of Menifee, CA; sister Desirae Hennessey and brother-in-law Justin Hennessey and nephew Jax Hennessey of Las Vegas, NV; brother Gabe Higuera of Menifee, CA; grandmother Gail Carter of Newaygo, MI; grandparents Larry and Rose Lantz of Jackson, MI; grandfather Alonzo Huguera of Perris, CA and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
