Virginia Needham "Ginger" Tipton

1935 - 2022

Virginia "Ginger" Needham Tipton went home to Jesus on Sept. 15, 2022, at the age of 86, after a long battle with dementia. Ginger was born to Harold and Faith Needham on Sept. 18, 1935, in Los Angeles. She lived in Los Angeles, Hollywood, Big Bear, Vista, Pomona, and Moreno Valley during her lifetime. After graduating from Vista High School, she attended Westmont College for two years. Ginger and her high school sweetheart, Charles "Chuck" Tipton were married in 1956. Three children came along shortly after. Ginger worked at various secretarial positions and had a 21 year career as Office Manager at Yorba Elementary School. Throughout her entire life she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with her family and those who surrounded her. Ginger adored her husband of 66 years who was her best friend throughout life. She was lovingly devoted to her children and grandchildren through whom she received much joy and laughter. And while they were growing up, she enthusiastically supported them in all their extracurricular activities-sports, music, theater, 4-H and Future Farmers of America. In addition, Ginger enjoyed reading, sewing, scrapbooking, and traveling in the RV. She also took part in several volunteer roles at her church. Ginger is survived by her husband Chuck, three daughters Terri (Carl) Hampton, Tammi (Wayne) Bateman, Trisha (Steven) Lunetta, seven grandchildren, Joel (Christie) Hampton, Jeremy (Gabrielle) Hampton, Kellan Bateman, Kyleigh Bateman, Joshua Lunetta, Timothy Lunetta, Caleb Lunetta, and five great grandchildren. There will be a visitation/viewing on Friday, Oct. 21, 9:00-11:00 a.m., at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer, Riverside, and interment at Olivewood Memorial Park at 11:30 a.m. in Riverside. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, 10:30 a.m. at Church on The Hill (FBR), Riverside, with luncheon reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, in memory of Ginger, the family has asked that any memorial donations be made to Forest Home Camps, 40000 Valley of the Falls Dr., Forest Falls, CA 92339 or Church on The Hill, 5500 Alessandro Blvd., Riverside, CA 92506. The family wishes to thank Faith, Hope and Love Home Care, Alpha Home Care, and Cabrillo Hospice for their loving care for Ginger during her last years of life here on earth.
