William Deile Obituary

WILLIAM CHARLES DEILE March 12, 1934 - March 2, 2012 Bill was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Charles and Bernice Deile. He was raised by his maternal grandparents Nicola and Catherine Brunetti in Hoboken, New Jersey. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. While serving in the Army, he became a paraplegic. Defying all medical odds he survived. He traveled to Mexico where he met Ernestina (Tina), the woman who became his wife. They married and moved to the United States. Together they moved and traveled across the country and settled in Hemet in 1966, where they raised their five children. Despite his physical disability, he lived a rich and adventurous life. He had a voracious love of learning. His interests included philosophy, global issues, and agriculture. Bill transformed his life long love of nature into the beautiful family garden he and his family carefully nurtured. His family and his trees were the greatest joys of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Tina, and survived by his children Ella (Chris and Cory), Nick (Kristin and Billy), Tina (Sierra and Dylan), Carla (Glen and Jillian), Will (Kim, Isabella, Hillary, and Dominic), and his brothers and sisters in Nevada, Arizona, and New Jersey. Bill will be greatly missed; his perseverance and indomitable spirit in the face of great adversity will never be forgotten. Graveside services will be held on March 12, 2012 at 11:30 am at the Mission San Luis Rey, Oceanside. The family would like to thank the medical staffs at Hemet Valley Medical Center, Scripps Green Hospital, UCSD/VA Medical Center San Diego, and especially to the VA; ICU and SCI units for their care and dedication to our father. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Cal-Diego Chapter of the Paralyzed Veteran's of America (caldiegopva.org) or to the San Diego County Blood Bank. I'm sorry to hear about Mr. Deile's passing. He was always one of the friendliest and most cooperative people I had to deal with while working for my father's medical practice. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family.
