ABIGAIL KURSHEEDT HOFFMAN

HOFFMAN, ABIGAIL KURSHEEDT 97 - of Ft. Lee, FL, on September 28, 2009. Services for Mrs. Hoffman will be held on Thursday October 1, 2009 at 10:00am at Menorah Chapels at Millburn, 2950 Vaux Hall Rd., Union, NJ. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Northfield. Born in Atlantic City, Mrs. Hoffman was a professor of music at Jersey City State College for fifteen years. She was an undergraduate of the Eastman School of Music and earned graduate degrees from Columbia University. Mrs. Hoffman was the Founder and Director of the Ventnor Summer Music Festival and the Community Concert Series. She was also a member of the DAR and AAUW. Mrs. Hoffman was predeceased by her beloved husband, Nathan, and is survived by her loving children Monte Hoffman, George Hoffman and Jane Hoffman Paress; her cherished nine grandchildren and adored seven great-grandchildren.
