Alan Oliver Obituary
July 25, 1934 - February 19, 2025
Oliver, Alan S., 90, of Galloway, passed away on February 19, 2025 at Seashore Gardens Living Center. Alan was an Atlantic City boy who grew up on the beach. He graduated Atlantic City High School where he was a member of the football team. Alan joined the Army where he was a dental technician stationed in Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1956. After the Army, Alan went to work as a salesman for a building supply company where he met his wife Shirley, who was an administrative assistant. They married in 1964, moved to Margate where they lived many years, and raised their daughter Alison. Alan worked until his retirement at Keystone Liquor Store in Atlantic City.
Alan loved going out to eat with his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling to Europe, cruising, and shows in Philadelphia. He was a dedicated Philadelphia Eagles fan, and enjoyed watching every game. He was always up for watching a black and white movie or a good western.
Alan was predeceased by his wife Shirley in 2021; his parents Fred and Tobye; his sister Marilyn (Milton); and brother Stanton (Claire). He is survived by his daughter Alison and her husband Mason. Alan is also survived by nieces and nephews Maxine, Barbara (Walter), Debbie (Marty), Caryn (Alan),Stuart (Margie) and Lisa (Paul), as well as many great nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral at Beth Kehilah will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Kidney Fund, The Alzheimer's Foundation or charity of one's choice.

I was so sorry to hear of Alan's passing. He was the sweetest man and was always so kind and caring toward my sister, Lori at the nursing home. I know she will miss her neighbor Alan, and I will miss seeing him when I visit. Our thoughts and prayers have been with you during this sad time.

Alan was the best man at my parents wedding and pictures of him still hang in our hallway. He was a fine gentleman and looked over my mom at the nursing home where they both lived until his recent passing. RIP

Dear Family,
Alan was a kind, sweet, gentle soul. Every time I went to clean his room he always made me laugh. Before leaving his room he always told me to take not one but 2 butter scotch candies. He was a great man and is deeply missed. Praying for his family and friends. I'm very sorry for their loss! I worked as a house keeper @ Seashore Gardens. God Bless.

I'm so sorry to hear of your Dads' passing. Alan and your Mom were good people to Dave, as a boss and to Dave and our family for many, many years. Remember Alan all the way back to when we werre neighbors on N. Raleigh Ave. in atlantic City. Always a kind man. He and shirley were a perfect match. condolences to his daughter Allison. MAY HIS MEMORY TRULY BE FOR A BLESSING
