Anastacia Previti Obituary

PREVITI, ANASTACIA THERESA (LEOPOLOUS) 82 - of Linwood, passed away on November 21, 2008 in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona, NJ. She was born on November 30, 1925 in Northampton, Massachusetts where she grew up immersed in the Greek Culture. Tessie, as she was known by all, lived in Atlantic City and Linwood for over 60 years. She worked as a Library Secretary in Atlantic City High School for over 20 years and upon her retirement from the public school system worked for Dr. David Smith as an office assistant. She loved both positions and her co-workers with equal pleasure and joy. Tessie was a lifelong gifted cook and baker who took great pleasure in making cakes and pies for her family and friends. She loved to knit and crochet and developed a passion and unwavering commitment in her later years to assist the poor and indigent. Through her knitting and crocheting, she donated and clothed countless needy children throughout the world through charitable foundations and outreach missions. Giving to others was a sustaining purpose in her life. Tessie was a woman of simple pleasures whose grea joy and pride was the company of her family. She was dedicated to her children and grandchildren and selflessly and tirelessly devoted her life to them. She is predeceased by her husband, Angelo Scales Previti, and three of her four sisters, Constantina, Efferteri and Helena. She is survived by her three children; Matthew (Cheryl), Robert (Ingrid), Donna Marie Moglia (John); five grandchildren, Brynn Previti, Ian Previti, Nicholas Moglia, Douglas Moglia, Dana Previti; her sister Babe Mercanto of Egg Harbor City; and Maureen Sherman, who was like a second daughter to her. I have so many good memories of our A.C.H.S. days. I would make it a point to make Mrs. Previti laugh. She was so peaceful. God bless the Previti family and thank you for sharing such a wonderful person with the students at A.C.H.S Class of 1980.

Dear Bob and Family,

How sad to read of Tessie's passing. She helped many a young teacher and student find their way at ACHS. She was a lovely lady and you were fortunate to have had her for a mother. God bless all of you.

Tessie will always be the lady I remember her to be..... she was so helpfull in the library at ACHS, and always baked the perfect cake or pie for all the birthdays, and since I was Ingrid's sister - she always treated me a little more special. She will be missed, but I'm sure she now has a special job cooking and knitting and doing what she loved and still giving to others. God Bless Tess, and the ones that are left here.
