Andrea Weinstein Obituary

Weinstein, Andrea (Guerrier), - 71, of Linwood, passed away on March 2nd, at her residence in Brandell Estates, Linwood NJ. She was born September 19th, 1952 to Joseph and Trudy Guerrier. Always a South Jersey girl, Andrea graduated from Holy Spirit High School, Class of 1970. After a few years of wandering, she embarked on her casino career. She opened Caesars AC in 1979 as a table games dealer and then moved to Harrah's as a games supervisor in 1980. After starting her family she made Upper Township their home and became co-owner of Moxie Boutique in Wildwood and Stone Harbor, with her former husband Michael Weinstein. Andrea was an amazing cook, and hosted many family celebrations. She loved the beach and she loved dogs, always having at least two or three in the family. Andrea is survived by her son, Kyle Weinstein, daughter Rebecca Weinstein (Anthony Connell), and two grandsons, Gunnar and Gavin, who she adored. She is also survived by her brother, Kenneth Guerrier, her sister Denise and brother in law Harold Smith, Jr. Also, she will be greatly missed by her niece Jillian Nehr and her great nieces, Jaicyn and Jayden. Andrea was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Trudy Guerrier who earned every grey hair, mostly from Andrea's shenanigans! A special thank you to her life long friends, Joanne Newell and Gloria Russell. They were with her through the best and worst of times with never ending strength and support. We would like to recognize Lynda Adams and the team of nurses, aides and staff of Reflections in Brandell Estates and Samaritan Hospice, especially Debbie, who helped us navigate this journey right to the end. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Beacon Animal Rescue, 701 Butter Rd, Ocean View, NJ or the Humane Society of your choice.

A celebration of life will be held at the Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd., Galloway NJ 08205 on Friday March 22nd, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. with a service to begin at 2:30 p.m. For directions and condolences please visit, Wimbergfuneralhome.com.

I was lucky enough to be Kyle and Becca's babysitter for years as a teenager. I enjoyed living across the street from the Weinstein's. Andrea loved her children and her dogs. She was a lovely lady who will be missed and I am so sorry for her children and grandchildren for their loss of their mom and grandmother.

This is very saddening. It's been many years, but I remember Andrea as a very nice person. And while I don't remember any of the stories of her shenanigans, I know I heard them. The first child always clears the path. The best part of Andrea was her letting Ken drive her red Camaro. She was kind that way. My best to Ken and Denise.

I will miss my dear friend. I will miss her laughter, her fire, her compassion, and her giving heart. Our families celebrated everything at her table. She always made them special - her love, served on a plate before you, her humor, and her warmth, always managed to make our lives a little lighter. They are a part of me, and I look to find comfort there.

I pray your memories soon bring you comfort and a deep "smile" in remembrance of her. Godspeed.

Good bye, my friend
