Barbara Ann Jones

April 10, 1937 - September 24, 2025

Barbara Ann Jones (Monroe), of Absecon, passed away on September 24, 2025. Born in Atlantic City, she graduated Atlantic City High in 1955. She met the love of her life, a Navy sailor, Donald Jones; They married and had a family of three children. She worked for the city of Absecon as a crossing guard for seven years on the corner of Church Street and Shore Road. Upon leaving she worked at Stockton State College (University) library and retired after 25 years.

Barbara is predeceased by her husband of 61 years and a great-grandson. She is survived by her son, Donald Jones, Jr. and wife Alice of Florida; son, Michael Jones and wife Margie of Tennessee and daughter, Barbara Lee Ann Jones; and grand-daughter/bestie, Lauren Jones of Tennessee. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and the amazing staff of Seashore Gardens to whom she was "Mom".

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. on October 9, 2025 at Atlantic County Veterans Park in Estell Manor, burial will follow. All are welcome. Parsels Funeral Home, Absecon, NJ is handling arrangements.
