Saunders, Barbara A., - 81, of Sumter, SC gained her heavenly wings on June 19, 2022. She was born in Cape May to the late Wilbert and Florence Henry. She was educated in the Cape May school system, graduating from Cape May High School. She attended business school and worked as a bookkeeper for Burroughs Corporation in Philadelphia, PA. Barbara married Clifford Saunders of Whitesboro, NJ. She traveled and raised a family as an Air Force spouse, retiring in South Carolina. Her family home on Corgie Street in Cape May remained the family's home base. She is survived by her husband, Major Clifford Saunders. USAF (Retired); sisters Margaret Davis and Loretta Shea (Mike); sisters-in-law Faye Henry and Helen Saunders; daughters Lenora "Lori" Isaac (Erskine), Kim Saunders, Kara Saun (Bishop), sons Duane Saunders and Tyrone Saunders (Latonya); 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, dear friends and loved ones. The Celebration of Life for Barbara Saunders will be held on Friday July 1, 2022 at Christ Gospel Church "Love Center", 2209 Route 9 South, Whitesboro, NJ 08252.
