Charles A. Mauro

Charles A. Mauro, age 79, of Ventnor City, passed away peacefully at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center on Saturday, March 1, surrounded by family. Born on February 5, 1946 in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a long time resident of Ventnor City, N.J. Charlie worked most of his life in sales and also held multiple jobs in retirement. He enjoyed fishing the back bays of New Jersey on his boat and he also loved his fishing trips with his friends in the Florida Keys. Charlie had the gift of gab and enjoyed being around people, he loved chatting with friends, family, strangers, even telemarketers had trouble hanging up on him. Survivors include his spouse, Dianne; his boys, Gary (Marta), Christopher and Matthew; his grandchildren, Leila Sage and Bella Mia; his long time friend, Anthony Sembello; his sister, Minnie; and his four-legged companion, Tetley.

He was one of the nicest souls I´ve ever met in my life. It´s was always such a pleasure just to sit and talk to a person that was very creative with conversation and always a lot of fun.The best part was to see Charlie get upset.
