Charlotte Stark Obituary

Bluestone Stark, Charlotte, - 96, of Margate, passed away peacefully December 31 in her home. She was born September 19, 1924, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Joseph and Regina Siman. She met the love of her life, David Bluestone, on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, and they married a year later in 1945. They continued to live on the Atlantic City Boardwalk with their three young children until 1958 when they relocated their family to Margate. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, David, in 1981. Charlotte remarried in 1983 to Max Stark who she remained married to until his death in 1998. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Karen Stone (Harold Lichtman), Faith Rosenkrantz (Jonathan Rosenkrantz), and Eric Bluestone (Marissa Bluestone). She is predeceased by her oldest grandson, Darren Burt, son of Karen Stone. She leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She and her husband David opened the retail business of Talk of the Towne of Margate in 1968, which is still a thriving business in Margate today. Charlotte loved to spend time having fun with her friends and family, over a card game, at a party, or over a good meal. She spent many years wintering in Florida doing all of those things. We remember Charlotte as a person who also loved to travel and devoted years to supporting Hadassah and ORT. Charlotte loved her family and always made time to spend with them. She cherished visits by her children and grandchildren, celebrated every important event with them, and spent her last days surrounded by them and all of the picture of memories she shared with them. Funeral services will be private and condolences may be left at www.jsgfunerals.com. The family asks that contributions in her memory be made to Shirat Hayam, 700 North Swarthmore Ave, Ventnor, New Jersey, 08406. Arr. by J.S. Goldstein Funeral Home & Monuments Inc., Mays Landing.

I will always remember my aunt's laugh when something tickled her and the great times I had with the Bluestone family at the shore. And my aunt made delicious meals for the holidays! Over the years, she and I had some good, long, heart-to-heart telephone calls as well. May her memory be a blessing.
