Christopher Marzano Obituary

Marzano, Christopher, - 43, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on February 14, 2022. Chris was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on February 23, 1978. He was first and foremost a lover of Jesus, and completely devoted to his wife Christie (Mee) and daughters Faith Vogel, age 17 and Selah, age 8. Chris studied and worked as a cardiology technician but found his true passion serving as the Operations Manager for Kies Motorsports, a BMW Performance Shop in Hammonton, NJ. Chris was not particularly happy when the guys at the shop nicknamed his BMW "Kiki", but he truly enjoyed that car. His sense of humor was over the top at ALL times, sometimes invoking laughter and at other times eyerolls. Chris was an avid Eagles fan, with all the gear and all the cheer. He hunted, LOVED to golf and gave himself completely and enthusiastically to the fun, or the task at hand. Chris was a Worship Leader at Calvary Chapel Gateway and along with his guitar he always had a song on his lips and in his heart. This is one of many gifts he left to both of his daughters, whom he adored. The sound of his voice while worshiping his Lord has just moved from the earthly realm to heavenly places. Chris is survived by his parents Neil and Margaret (Aldridge) Marzano, his sister Lisa Passwater (Ryan), niece Gianna (17), nephew Nicholas (10), and an army of aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends who are just like family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 26th at 11:00 AM with Visitation from 9:30AM to 11:00 AM at New Life Church, 2577 Tilton Road, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234. I attended Pilgrim Academy with Chris. Both of us had a mutual interest in music and spent many an hour on campus jamming and playing guitar. We used to sit around figuring out the latest top of the charts Christian rock hits of those days. We also had the privilege of playing together during a couple of Christian coffee houses. Chris had a great voice and sung with unabated passion for his savior. Whenever I ran into Chris after high school it was always greeted with fond memories and warmth. Chris will be dearly missed by many that knew him. I know that Chris is within the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and for that alone we should rejoice for that is our aim is to be with Christ. See you in paradise, Chris. Until then, you will be missed.

For most of my life, I have known Chris Marzano. As a boy, I remember spending many days over the Marzano household. I slept over one night and had so much fun I slept over a second night. The generous, giving and encouraging spirit of Chris has touched so many lives, mine included. Blessed to be his classmate, his friend, and most importantly brother in Christ. Talking to a friend of mine about Chris we both agreed, every memory we have of him is Chris smiling. The joy of the LORD was continually present. Life got busy after high school, we only saw each other occasionally but were thankful for every time that we did. The 20-year high school reunion where I got to meet his beautiful wife Christie and precious daughter Selah is a fond memory. Remembrance of this day made all the more knowing that he is in the presence of the LORD. I would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Marzano for raising a man of God. Lisa, you were such a good sister to him and my heart is hurting for you. Christie, Grace, and Selah, you all have been consistently in my prayers. Our daughter hope is one year behind Selah at Pilgrim. Please let us know if we can help and serve in any way. I mourn with you for your loss. I join you in the hope and assurance of a glorious reunion in heaven! May the Peace of God be with you all and we are here if we can serve in any way!
Sincerely,
John and Jessica Mol and family
